Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Hagiwara Electric Group contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a variety of business activities. To this end, we are striving to ensure quality and safety, acquire the latest technologies, and improve our product development and manufacturing technologies in order to further enhance the value of our products and services and to further strengthen our management foundation. While taking responsibility for our own commitments to the future, we will do our best to steadily realize a sustainable society while accurately responding to the demands of our customers and the changing needs of society.

The Hagiwara Electric Group aims to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our efforts on Materiality (issues of significance).
Going forward, we plan to update our main topics with respect to the materiality review that took place in June 2024.

The automotive industry, in which the Hagiwara Electric Group is engaged in business, is currently undergoing a once-in-a-century turning point. Amid the trend toward electrification and automated driving of cars, especially in CASE, the device business is actively engaged in sales activities for electronic devices that implement advanced electronics technologies related to electrification and automated driving, as well as verification and development support for in-vehicle embedded software, which is becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex. In the solutions business, we are also engaged in activities to provide process support to finished vehicle manufacturers in the area of testing, such as strengthening the prototyping and mass production processes for automobiles, which are becoming increasingly multifunctional and complex. Through both businesses, we will contribute to the realization of a new mobility society that is safe, secure, and comfortable.

We are beginning to take on the challenge of new fields by developing applied technologies that utilize the knowledge and expertise of the Hagiwara Electric Group. In addition to providing products that contribute to improving the safety of construction machinery by applying the imaging technology and AI in which our device business excels, in ways that include the installation of high-precision AI camera systems in construction machinery, we will approach the revitalization of industry and the solution of social issues by applying the know-how cultivated in the in-vehicle business.
In the solutions business, we will work to create new services using advanced IT technology that integrates the system integration (SI) and factory automation (FA) domains, and we will promote our DX business in manufacturing.
In promoting these activities, we will respect our partnerships and expand the circle of partnerships while maximizing the provision of value to our customers and contributing to the resolution of social issues and the realization of a prosperous society.
